We have a vibrant women’s programme at Miramar Golf Club and our women membership is growing.
Women’s Competition Days, Trophy Events whether mixed or individual and Club Championships are always well supported. Whether it is Tuesday Women, Friday Twilight, Championships, Sunday Individual, Sunday Teams or Race to Miramar, the attendance is excellent.
Golf tournaments featuring individual, mixed and team formats are an ideal way to meet new people and make friends. It’s easy to register for an event using the golf club’s website. Friday evening Twilight golf, run over daylight saving hours, draws good fields. There is also a Friday member’s draw and raffles.
Women Club Days
Women Club Days are Tuesday and Sundays from 9.00am. Book online before 8am on the day, gather for 8.45am with tee off from 9am, then afterwards socialise together.
We play a variety of formats and have teams that participate in the Wellington District Interclub matches, which provide a great opportunity to play at other clubs. We also participate in the District Lady Vets monthly meetings.
'She Loves Golf' Programme
This is a programme designed for women interested in starting to play golf. We have offered this programme annually over the last couple of years with great success. Most of the attendees continue to play golf beyond the programme. The next programme will be announced in 2025.
The programme extends across a 6 week period where the group have sessions with experienced golf instructors and have the added benefit of being given protected tee times on selected days.
Mixed Events
These are played at least monthly on a Sunday in various formats and on Public Holidays. 9-hole players can participate in the Foursomes events. The Miramar Vets meet on the last Friday of each month at 9.45am for a Stableford competition.
