Golf Lessons

Miramar Golf Club has only indoor coaching range in Wellington city

Our team of golf excepts are here to improve your game. Through coaching and video and swing analysis, our coach can assist you with your practice routines, proper technique and correct equipment selection.

Private lessons are the fastest way to improve your game providing regular one-on-one contact with your professional. Lessons are available on all aspect of the game, as well as on-course lessons. Group lessons are also available and are a cost effective option 

Individual Lesson

  • Options; Swing, putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers, video and putter fitting
  • 30-45min duration.
  • $55 Adult. $10 per extra person 
  • $35 Junior

Lesson Packages

  • 3x lessons $120. With Andrew or Chris
  • 3x lessons $140 with Renee Fowler 
  • Renee Fowler Game improver 4 Lessons and 1 Playing Lesson $300

Playing Lessons

  • On course training tailored to suit your needs

Beginner Clinics

Wellington High School evening and day classes
  • This is a great way to get an introduction to golf.  The clinic covers all the basic you will need to play golf.

    Wellington High School Beginner Level Two 

Level two classes are for anyone who has completed level one and feel competent to execute any of the shots learnt in level one. If you are unsure if you are ready for the step up to level one please feel free to ask Renee or one of our made keen golfing staff

The classes are suitable for those who have participated in classes previously or beginners. They will concentrate on golf specific strengthening and flexibility using posture belts, but will include other exercises. Posture belts, spikey balls and bands may be purchased for use at home.

Head Teaching Professional - Renée Fowler

I took up the game in 1989 and within 6 months of playing I had my first of success at eh NZ Under 21 year tournament. This was all the motivation I needed to continue improving my golf. Success through golf has allowed me to travel both nationally and internationally. I represented New Zealand as an amateur for 7 consecutive year before turning Professional. I played on tour before injury bought touring to a halt. My hiatus from being a touring player enabled me to explore another aspect of golf ? teaching. I worked and studied in many places around the world and New Zealand. Over the late 12 years I have refined my teaching skills and had the opportunity to gain international teaching qualifications. I am lucky to have worked closely with Mal Tongue whom I have learnt a lot of my teaching skills. I enjoy the variety of coaching people of all level.

Assistant Professional - Andrew Fok

Since joining Miramar 25 years ago, my passion and devotion to golf has given me chances to play 36-hole 1st Division Interclub, write a weekly local golf column for the Evening Post and for the last fifteen years, coach anyone from beginners to professionals.

Helping people achieve their goals and potential is a huge part of my life. This is why I also have a major passion for coaching volleyball ? from College to the highest club level. Both golf and volleyball are highly technical sports, so being able to get my students to understand and relate to the instructions, is highly enjoyable challenge and satisfying experience.

I feel my main coaching strength is developing consistency and stability for my students
